PWLE and Knowledge Mobilization- Three perspectives on pain focused KM- Creation of a pediatric pain standard, Veteran focused KM strategy, and the CPN KM-IS network
Knowledge Mobilization and a systematic strategy towards implementation of best evidence supported care have been recognized as critical factors in improving pain related quality of life. This symposium will bring together three examples of knowledge mobilization arising out of the engagement of people with lived experience (PWLE) to provide a basis for discussion of KM strategies.
Learning Objectives:
Objective 1: Become aware of three major knowledge mobilization initiatives underway in the Canadian Pain ecosystem.
Objective 2: Review experience with creating a veteran facing podcast series about pain.
Objective 3: Discuss the national Knowledge Mobilization -Implementation Science strategy.
A discussion between scientists, health professionals, educators, and pain advocates on a myriad of topics related to chronic pain. Offering a platform for innovative minds to bring forward inspiring ideas and discover solutions to help you in your practice.
