Positions Open Fall 2019:

• A Clinical Representative to the Awards Committee:
Responsible for supporting the Awards Committee to ensure that our portfolio remains relevant to the needs and interests of the clinical community.
Term: 2 Years (renewable)
Application Deadline: October 1, 2019


Members: College of Reviewers:

Members assist the Awards Committee by assisting with the peer review process by either serving as a reviewer or through the identification or other qualified individuals.
Term: 2 Years (renewable)
Application Deadline: October 1, 2019

Positions Open May 2020:

A Basic Science Representative to the Awards Committee:

Responsible for supporting the Awards Committee to ensure that our portfolio remains relevant to the needs and interests of the basic science community.
Term: 2 Years (renewable) 

Application Deadline: October 1, 2019
Start Date: May 2020

To Apply:
• Applicants must be current members of the Canadian Pain Society. Click here for membership information.
• Send a CV (format of your choice: CCV, NIH-style bio-sketch, Word document etc.) and short cover letter (no more than half a page) to awards@canadianpainsociety.ca introducing yourself and identifying the position(s) you are interested in and why.
• The CPS Board of Directors will review all applications and make the final selections.

 


 

CPS IS NOW ACCEPTING NOMINATIONS FOR 2020 ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS !

Help us recognize outstanding members of the CPS community by nominating a colleague for one of more of these Achievement Awards. Click on the name of each award for further details and to nominate.

The Distinguished Career Award recognizes longstanding contributions to pain research and/or management.

The Distinguished Service Award
honours outstanding and dedicated service to the Canadian Pain Society.

The Early Career Award recognizes outstanding achievements in pain research and/or management by an individual at the early stage of his or her career.

The Outstanding Pain Mentorship Award
is presented to a researcher and/or clinician who consistently exemplifies outstanding mentorship in the training of future pain researchers and/or clinicians.

The Pain Awareness Award annually recognizes an outstanding Pain Awareness Project. The goals of the award are to raise awareness of the problem of undermanaged pain in Canada, to highlight efforts towards finding solutions to the problem, and to reach a wide Canadian audience.
