Conquering the Hurt Conference
The SickKids Pain Centre is hosting their bi-annual Conquering the Hurt Conference. Paediatric Project ECHO Session
Join us for a comprehensive session with Dr. Alvin Loh discussing "Special considerations for pain in children and youth with severe neurological impairment" facilitated by the paediatric Pain Management and Complex Care ECHO teams. At the end of this session, participants will be able to: (1) Learn an approach to assessing pain in children who have severe neurological impairment and communication impairments, and (2) Understand when and how to use a few reliable and individualized pain assessment tools for nonverbal children.

2020 Children's Healthcare Canada Annual Conference - Building Bridges: On the Road to Healthcare Equity
Children’s Healthcare Canada’s annual conference is going virtual this year, and SKIP is thrilled to offer several important sessions related to children’s pain.
Join SKIP and the Canadian Foundation for Healthcare Improvement (CFHI) for a pre-conference webinar featuring innovations in virtual care. SKIP is also set to co-host a concurrent session discussing hot topics in pediatric pain care and policy, including the new Lancet Commission in Pediatric Pain (learn more about this below!) the second report from the Canadian Pain Task Force, and the new definition of pain from the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP). Speakers will include healthcare providers, researchers, and youth/parents with lived experience. We’re available to chat all week at our virtual booth, and a member of our team will be leading a tour of the Virtual Poster Hall’s standout paediatric pain pieces.
