The Fairmont Empress Hotel 721 Government Street Victoria, BC V8W 1W5 250-384-8111 Attached to the Victoria Conference Centre and overlooking Victoria’s spectacular Inner Harbour, this elegant chateau-style resort captures the grandeur and elegance of a bygone era. A fabled Victoria landmark, The Fairmont Empress has played host to royalty, celebrities, and guests from around the world since 1908. The hotel is only a short walk to the Inner Harbour, Royal BC Museum, Parliament Buildings, and many other fantastic sights!
Book early to avoid disappointment a limited number of rooms are available Room Rate: $185.00 + applicable taxes for Moderate Rooms and $215.00 + applicable taxes for Fairmont Rooms, single or double occupancy. This rate is applicable to 3 days prior to the conference and 3 days after the conference. Cut off date for the room block at the hotel is APRIL 24, 2008. After this date the Canadian Pain Society and The Fairmont Empress Hotel cannot guarantee rates or availability.
Two ways to book your room – Choose one: · Call the Fairmont Hotel’s number at 250-384-8111 and ask to be booked into the Canadian Pain Society room block · Go to www.fairmont.com and book your room through the on-line reservation service. · Check-in time is 4:00 pm and check-out time is 11:00 am. · Early Departure fee – If you check-out earlier than your planned checkout date a fee of one-night room plus tax will apply. To avoid this, guests must advise the hotel upon check-in of any check-out day change. · Cancellation for guaranteed rooms is 48 hours prior to scheduled arrival. · Any cancellation within 48 hours will be subject to a one-night room plus tax penalty. · In the event that a guest does not arrive (“no show”) as indicated by their guestroom reservation and the reservation has not been previously cancelled, they will be charged for the entire duration of their reserved stay. · Guaranteed reservations are held until 11:00 am on the day following the first night reserved
VICTORIA MARRIOTT INNER HARBOUR HOTEL 728 Humboldt Street, Victoria A limited number of rooms have also been blocked at the VICTORIA MARRIOTT INNER HARBOUR hotel, which is directly behind the Empress Hotel. It is expected that the Fairmont Empress Hotel will be sold out and due to limited accommodations in Victoria during that week, this block of rooms has been secured for the Canadian Pain Society delegates. The room rate is $205.00 + applicable taxes. Call 1-866-306-5451 or 250-480-3800 and ask to put into the Canadian Pain Society block. The cut-off date for these rooms is APRIL 9, 2008.
