As President of the Canadian Pain Society, it gives me great pleasure to invite you to the Annual Conference of the Canadian Pain Society to be held in Calgary, Alberta May 12-15. The theme this year is "Unravelling the Mystery of Pain, Nature vs Nurture" and as usual our Scientific Program Committee has put together a stimulating program and slate of speakers featuring both Canadian and International talent. We have provided the usual balance between formal plenary sessions along with smaller workshops and symposia and lots of time for networking in between as well as at a number of social events that are bound to entertain. On Thursday evening you will have the opportunity to attend the award winning play "Pain Diaries", as well as getting out to explore a bit of the Canadian West. Calgary is beautiful in the Spring and for those who are able to arrive early or stay longer there is the option to see surrounding beauty including Banff National Park and Lake Louise. I look forward to welcoming you personally to the Annual Conference in May.
Mary E. Lynch, President, Canadian Pain Society President
